April has been a whirlwind work trip month for me. I traveled to Boston, Birmingham, and Phoenix this month…and I am exhausted. Despite my lack of sleep and time zone confusion, I was happy to visit these cities as I had never been to any of them before. I had only heard great things about Phoenix so I was especially excited to visit this area! As work travel usually goes, I did not have a ton a free time to explore but I was able to eat at some excellent restaurants. Here are my top 3 restaurant recommendations in Phoenix.

Top 3 restaurant recommendations in Phoenix
Cien Agaves: This eatery is located in Old Town Scottsdale and was recommended to me as an excellent happy hour location. Their happy hour is EVERYDAY (!) from 3-7 PM featuring 1/2 off house margs, 1/2 off appetizers, $2.5 tinga tacos and more! My colleagues and I all got the margaritas which were refreshing and not too sweet and split a bunch of the apps. The queso and guacamole were my favorites but everything was delicious.
GrabbaGreen: This healthy restaurant was located right across the street from my hotel in downtown Phoenix and featured amazing juices, smoothies, bowls and wraps. Since I’ve been traveling so much, I’ve been lacking fresh fruits and veggies in my diet so this stop was necessary for my health and piece of mind. I created my own bowl and tried the Immune Juice (carrot, lemon, ginger, orange). Both were delicious!
Bitter & Twisted: This bar/restaurant came highly recommended from multiple different sources. It featured creative and innovative cocktails, as well as small bites. Think cocktails served in teacups and honey-bear jars. On Saturday night, this was definitely the place to see and be seen. It is located in downtown Central Phoenix.
