The springtime in Cleveland ranges from gorgeous, breezy and sunny to rainy, soggy and cold in the blink of an eye. While we aren’t yet to spring, we certainly are edging closer as March is tomorrow! Can you believe it?
As Lake Erie begins to thaw out and the sun starts peaking from behind the clouds, Clevelanders go crazy. Shorts, sandals and day-drinking can be seen when the temperature hits above 40 degrees. With that being said, this past Sunday (and yesterday too) was prettttty gorgeous, so I decided to whip up some springtime/summery drinks to celebrate the sunshine and promise of warmer weather with the help of Buckeye Vodka.
Buckeye Vodka was started in Dayton, OH and I love supporting Ohio-made products. Check out this video to learn more about the brand and it’s beginnings:
I have been on a recent kick of mixing lemonade with orange juice (a tasty tip I learned from my nephews), hence this yummy drink was created.
Celebration of (Almost) Springtime in CLE
- 2-3 ounces Buckeye Vodka
- Juice from 3 lemons (I used Meyer Lemons.)
- Fresh squeezed OJ
- 1 oz of triple sec
Mix all of the ingredients together and you basically have a slightly tangier version of a Screwdriver. Sip slowly, preferably in the sunshine, and remember that springtime is coming, Clevelanders!
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary swag bag of Buckeye Vodka items and a bottle of Buckeye Vodka to try. All opinions are my own.
